First Impressions

When approaching business owners about the improvements needed on their website, there’s a common justification that’s heard amongst the majority… “I know my website isn’t that great, but it’s better than having NO website”.

Imagine walking into a disheveled restaurant, with food all over the tables and floor, cracks and tears in the upholstery, with a foul, unrecognizable smell. They may serve the best food you’ll ever eat,first_impressions_web_design but would you even consider trying it after your first impression of the place? Most people wouldn’t. In fact, you’re likely to go home and tell your friends and family to never eat there!

Having a grisly, outdated website is very similar to that. When a potential customer visits your website, it will leave a lasting impression that will be either positive or negative. How your website appears makes an impact on your business’ reputation, and can have a severe butterfly effect on the future of your business, for better or for worse.

Now imagine opening the door of a restaurant and a delectable aroma overtakes your senses. You look around and it’s perfectly clean, beautiful, and welcoming. You sit down, order your food, and enjoy the most savory, decadent meal you’ve ever had. Not only are you likely to start planning your next trip back, but you’re inclined to tell others of this amazing experience!

Having a modern, polished, and professional website will have an identical effect. Potential customers will be more inclined to buy your product or services, and then recommend others once they are satisfied with the outcome.

In today’s tech-based environment, it’s pertinent to have, not only a website, but one that is chic, current, user friendly, and most of all, credible.
